He sat out Saturday's game with an upper-body injury. Alex Picard will be a healthy scratch to make room for Volchenkov's return.

Volchenkov missed Saturday's contest due to the injury. He has three goals and 12 points in 38 games this season.

Anton Volchenkov will not play Saturday afternoon against Boston due to an upper-body injury.
He sustained the injury in Thursday's 3-2 win over St. Louis. The Senators are hopeful the A-Train will be able to play Tuesday against the Devils. Place Volchenkov on reserve for now. Alexandre Picard will likely dress in Volchenkov's place against the Bruins.

Alex Kovalev picked up five points, including an incredible four goals, as Ottawa beat Philadelphia 7-4 Sunday afternoon.
Kovalev, who has been playing much better of late, now has 11 goals on the season. He was simply on fire, flying all over the ice throughout the game. Chris Kelly potted two goals and an assist in the game as well. The other goal came from Jarkko Ruutu. Ryan Shannon and Anton Volchenkov both had three assists.

Anton Volchenkov was one of two Senators to score in their embarrassing 8-2 loss to the Penguins Wednesday.
Despite the big loss it wasn't due to a lack of offense. The Sens fired 47 shots at Marc-Andre Fleury. Chris Kelly was the only other Ottawa player to beat Fleury on the night.

Anton Volchenkov will be back in the Senators' lineup on Tuesday night versus San Jose.
The Ottawa defender has missed the past 14 games with an elbow injury. Chris Campoli will serve as a healthy scratch to make room for his return. Volchenkov is the team's top shutdown defenseman, who blocks plenty of shots and hits anyone that crosses his blueline, but does not have much fantasy value.
