Coach Bruce Boudreau said Brian Pothier (hand) will return to the Capitals' lineup this week.
Pothier was initially expected to play in Saturday's game, but his return has been pushed back. He has four goals and 10 points in 32 games this season.

He has missed the Caps' last five games with a hand injury but practiced on Friday and appears good to go. Activate Pothier if you need him.

The Washington Capitals have recalled John Carlson from the minors.
Carlson was recalled because "a couple of D have "ouchies," coach Bruce Boudreau said. Brian Pothier is out for sure and Mike Green is a game-time decision. We're guessing that Green is the one with the ouchies.
