Pekka Rinne blocked 26 of 28 New Jersey shots in a 3-2 shootout victory on Thursday.
Rinne has won four straight between the pipes for Nashville and appears to pulling ahead of Dan Ellis in the competition for the team's number one goalie job. His has boosted his record to 8-4-0.

Pekka Rinne is the probable starter for Nashville on Thursday.
Rinne has taken over as the Predators number one goaltender as he has won the last three games, allowing only four goals. Rinne is now 7-4-0 with a .914 save percentage and a 2.40 GAA. Dan Ellis has been relegated for the time being to the bench as Rinne has been outstanding of late. Rinne now has a big jump in fantasy value, while Ellis's value has dropped.

Pekka Rinne defended 21 Blues' shots in a 3-1 victory on Thursday night for Nashville.
Rinne owns a 5-4-0 record this season, but he has won five of his last six starts. He should continue to jockey with Dan Ellis for playing time in the Predators' crease, but if he keeps piling on the victories the number one job could be his.

Dan Ellis will be back between the pipes for Nashville on Tuesday night.
He made 27 saves in a 3-1 win over the Kings on Saturday and will be making his second straight appearance in the Nashville crease.

Dan Ellis kicked out 27 of 28 shots in a 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings Saturday.
Pekka Rinne had started in the Predators previous three games. Ellis' solid performance may have earned him another start on Tuesday against San Jose. Look for the Predators to start whichever goaltender is hot until one of them establishes himself as the clear number one goaltender.

Dan Ellis will get the start in goal for Nashville on Saturday.
Ellis has not played since giving up three early second period goals to Minnesota on October 28. He will get a chance to redeem himself against the Kings on Saturday. Ellis currently has a 3.03 GAA and a .897 save percentage to go with his 2-3-1 record. He is a bench player at best at this time and it helps if your already have Pekka Rinne on your squad.
