Senators coach Cory Clouston praised Pascal Leclaire's performance in Ottawa's 3-2 victory over Toronto on Tuesday.
"(Leclaire) was very good," Clouston said. "He was really solid in the last seven minutes. He was good with the screens, the pressure and the rebound control. We made his life more difficult than it should have been. We should have just kept to the game plan. When you’re pushing for a win, the natural tendency is to sit back and play not to lose." Leclaire had been struggling recently and was on the verge of falling into a goaltending controversy. Leclaire should have regained some of his lost confidence and he will try and build off his performance against the much tougher Pittsburgh Penuings on Thursday. Source: Ottawa Sun
