Curtis Joseph has officially hung up his skates.
The 42-year-old veteran of 19 years retired on Tuesday. He has the fourth most wins in NHL history with 454, which is all the more impressive considering he entered the league as an undrafted free agent. "It's a good day and been a great career," said Joseph. "I'm extremely happy and certainly felt like I didn't leave anything on the table. I had a great run and a great career." We wish him the best.

Curtis Joseph will reportedly announce his retirement on Tuesday.
If the report is true, Joseph will close the door on a 19-year NHL career. He is currently ranked fourth on the all-time wins list with 454 and has been nominated for the Vezina Trophy three times. Joseph won the gold medal with Canada in 2002 but he never won a Stanley Cup. He participated in two Eastern Conference finals with the Leafs, losing in 1999 to the Buffalo Sabres and 2002 to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Curtis Joseph will retire from hockey, according to ESPN.com.
Joseph will finish with a 454-352-90 with a 2.79 GAA and a .906 save percentage. He played with the Leafs last season, but wasn't re-signed in the off-season and was without a team this fall. He was a great goalie, but he never won a Stanley Cup.

The Leafs will not re-sign backup goalie Curtis Joseph this summer.
"Great service as a Leaf, but we are moving on," general manager Brian Burke said. It is believed that Joseph wants to play one more season in the NHL before retiring, but he may have trouble finding a suitor at this point.

Curtis Joseph stopped 26 of 29 shots in Toronto's 3-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday evening.
Joseph made some big saves in the game, but allowed two goals in a 26-second span in the third period. His 452nd career loss tied Gump Worsley's record for the most losses in NHL history. It might've very well been his last game in a Toronto uniform.

Curtis Joseph will start against the Sabres Wednesday night.
There isn't a plan for the goalies going forward, but there is a possibility that this could be Joseph's last game with the Leafs as his playing future for next season is in doubt.
