Alex Ovechkin scored one goal and added two assists in Washington's 5-1 win over Anaheim Wednesday night.
Ovechkin's multipoint night led the Capitals' offensive surge. The Capitals fired 49 shots at the Anaheim goal, including the Russian sniper's 34th of the season. Alexander Semin netted two markers. Mike Knuble and Shaone Morrisonn each finished with a goal and an assist.

Shaone Morrisonn returned to the Capitals' lineup on Friday December 18th from an undisclosed injury.
He played a little over 15 minutes in the contest, but did nothing of note on the stat sheet except for earning one shot on goal. Morrisonn was expected to be fine to play on Friday after suffering what was believed to be head injury on Tuesday.

Mike Green (eye) and Shaone Morrisonn practiced on Thursday and will play Friday in Vancouver against the Canucks.
Both were injured by Dave Koci on Tuesday. Get Green back in your lineup if you stuck him on your taxi squad as he is the top offensive defenseman in hockey.

Morrisonn suffered an undisclosed injury against Colorado, but he was hit hard by an errant David Koci elbow and he recently returned from a concussion, so it's likely a head injury.

Morrisonn just returned from a concussion on December 7th. He has three points and 27 penalty minutes in 25 games this season.

Shaone Morrisonn (concussion) played in Monday's 3-0 victory over Tampa Bay.
Morrisonn had been sidelined for eight games due to the concussion. He was on the ice for 16:05 minutes and had a plus-one plus/minus rating for the game.
