Tuukka Rask played his fourth straight game for Boston Tuesday.
Rask's apprenticeship under Tim Thomas has accelerated much quicker than most expected. They've won two of those games and lost the other two in shootouts. Thomas hasn't necessarily played bad this year with a 2.52 GAA and .915 save percentage, but the teams has played better in front of Rask, for whatever reason. The Bruins have come out of a month long slump with Rask's help, so they won't turn to Thomas until his streak of good play ends.

Tuukka Rask stopped 43 of 45 shots in the Bruins 3-2 shootout victory over the Buffalo Sabres Tuesday night.
Raask has been poaching some games from Tim Thomas lately; this was his fourth straight between the pipes for Boston.

Although Tim Thomas is rumored to be on the trading block, the Bruins have not asked him if he would waive his no-trade clause.
Thomas is the reigning Vezina Trophy winner, but rookie goaltender Tuukka Rask has outplayed him this season with a 2.02 GAA and .929 save percentage in 26 games. With Thomas' hold on the number one goaltender job slipping, there have been some reports that the Bruins would like to ship Thomas and his cap hit elsewhere. However, GM Peter Chiarelli would probably talk to Thomas to find out what teams he'd waive his no-trade clause to play in before Chiarelli enters into any serious negotiations.

It looks as if Tuukka Rask will get a second consecutive start for the Bruins.
He will start in goal this afternoon against the Canucks. Adjust your goaltending rotation accordingly.

Although it is not official, look for Tim Thomas to get the start against Vancouver on Saturday.
Tuukka Rask played fairly well in a 3-2 loss Thursday but the Bruins will likey turn to Thomas to try and break out of their current slump. Adjust your goaltending rotation accordingly.

Tuukka Rask blocked 23 of 25 Montreal shots in the Bruins' 3-2 shootout loss Thursday night.
Rask played his first game against the Canadiens this season after Tim Thomas lost both of his starts against Montreal, and six straight overall. The 22-year old backup hasn’t fared any better of late, losing his fifth straight start to the Canadiens in the shootout. Rask hasn’t earned a win since Dec. 30, and falls to 10-7-3.
