The Bruins are hopeful that Tim Thomas will be able to start Monday against St. Louis.
He has missed Boston's last three games due to a nagging minor injury but seems to be just about ready to start again. The Bruins haven't missed a beat without him, however. Tuukka Rask has been outstanding subbing in.

Tuukka Rask has started the Bruins' last three games in place of Tim Thomas.
Thomas is still bothered by a minor undisclosed injury giving Rask his current opportunity. The young netminder's three-game starting streak is the longest in his 13-game career. Rask has played well. He will one day be a fine choice as a top fantasy goalie but will have to wait until the 35-year-old Thomas begins to slip.

Tuukka Rask stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced in Boston's 2-1 overtime victory against the Sabres Friday.
Rask not only got the win but also recorded an assist on Milan Lucic's second- period goal. The win brings his record to 5-2-1 on the season. Rask started Friday night as Tim Thomas is still being bothered by some minor undisclosed injury.

It will mark his third straight appearance in the Bruins' crease, as starter Tim Thomas is still struggling with a nagging undisclosed injury.

Coach Claude Julien said that the Bruins may not name a starting goaltender for Friday's contest until very close to puck drop.
Tim Thomas served as Tuukka Rask's backup on Thursday night due a minor undisclosed injury, but took the pre-game warm-up and could be ready to play against the Sabres. If for whatever reason he cannot play then Rask will be in goal for the second time in consecutive nights.

Tim Thomas didn't play Thursday due to a minor undisclosed injury.
It must be very minor because he looked fine in practice Thursday and again in the pre-game warmup. He still dressed as the backup. We'd be surprised if he didn't play Friday against the Sabres.
