 Steve Downie-W - Lightning Jan. 18 - 9:48 pm et

Steve Downie scored the game-winning goal for the Tampa Bay Lightning as they defeated the Hurricanes 3-2.
Downie's third period goal was his 11th of the season. Ryan Malone and Vincent Lecavalier had the other tallies for the Lightning in the victory. Lecavalier has six points in his last four games.

Ryan Malone will remain on a line with Steve Downie and Paul Szczechura.
Coach Rick Tocchet wants to spread the goal scoring around when both teams are at even strength. The line played well against the Ovechkin line, but it will put a damper on Malone's scoring. "But it doesn't matter," Malone said. "The main thing is we won the game, and we'll keep going until adjustments have to be made, I'm sure." He will still be on the top power play so it should not hurt Malone that much.

Ryan Malone is reportedly fine to play on Saturday after leaving Friday's suspended game with a lacerated thigh.
He said he would have been alright to return to the game, if it had continued, and received 16 stitches to close the wound. Malone was cut by the tip of New Jersey netminder Martin Brodeur's skate. Keep him in your lineup.

Ryan Malone left Friday's suspended game against the Devils early in the second period with a possible thigh injury.
His thigh seemed to come in contact with Martin Brodeur's skate during a fall. Not much more is known about Malone's condition or status for Saturday's contest against the Flyers. Start him at your own risk.
