Ales Kotalik was not able to join his new Calgary teammates at practice on Tuesday because of a flight cancellation.
However, he is expected to be in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Carolina. Kotalik did not perform well on the Rangers this season, but coach Brent Sutter was quick to come to his defense on Tuesday. "You know what? I could really care less about what's happened to him in New York," said Sutter. "Whatever's transpired this year, I don't know. It's irrelevant, really, right now ... because we need him to come in and be a good player for us." He is projected to skate on a line with Daymond Langkow and Chris Higgins when he arrives. |
