Ales Kotalik was not able to join his new Calgary teammates at practice on Tuesday because of a flight cancellation.
However, he is expected to be in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Carolina. Kotalik did not perform well on the Rangers this season, but coach Brent Sutter was quick to come to his defense on Tuesday. "You know what? I could really care less about what's happened to him in New York," said Sutter. "Whatever's transpired this year, I don't know. It's irrelevant, really, right now ... because we need him to come in and be a good player for us." He is projected to skate on a line with Daymond Langkow and Chris Higgins when he arrives.

 Olli Jokinen-C - Rangers Feb. 2 - 7:00 am et  

Olli Jokinen was traded to the New York Rangers late on Monday night, with forward Brandon Prust, in exchange for Christopher Higgins and Ales Kotalik.
The deal was rumored to be near completion on Sunday, but it was finalized just after the Flames' 3-0 loss to the Flyers on Monday. Jokinen did not perform up to expectations in Calgary and he never meshed with captain Jarome Iginla like the team had hoped. He has registered 11 goals and 35 points in 56 games this season. Perhaps, Jokinen will have better luck clicking with Rangers' star winger Marian Gaborik, should he get a chance to play alongside him.

Christopher Higgins is now a member of the Calgary Flames after a four-player trade went down late Monday night.
Higgins is having a disappointing year this season, as he has potted a mere six goals and 14 points in 55 contests with the New York Rangers. He still should not be on your fantasy radar, but check on him see how he performs with the Flames.

TSN is reporting that Olli Jokinen has been dealt to the Rangers in a four player deal.
Brandon Prust is also part of the package heading to Manhattan. Chris Higgins and Ales Kotalik are rumored to be heading to Calgary.

Artem Anisimov scored twice in the Rangers 4-2 loss to the Pen's Monday night.
The two goals gives him nine on the season. Dan Girardi, Enver Lisin and Christopher Higgins all recorded assists.

Christopher Higgins was skating on the Rangers' fourth line during practice on Friday.
He is slowly moving down the depth chart as he practiced on the team's third line on Monday. That's what not scoring in five games will do for you under John Tortorella. We trust that Higgins is not currently in your fantasy lineup.
