Semin’s three-point night paced the Capitals to their sixth-straight win, extending their lead in the Eastern conference standings. The Russian winger has been on fire over that span, registering two goals and eight assists to give him 49 points in 42 games this season. Eric Fehr recorded one goal and one assist for his first multi-point night since Dec. 5, while Alex Ovechkin finished the game with a goal and an assist as well. Brooks Laich netted the other Washington marker.
