Ryan Smyth, Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown combined for 23 shots on goal in Thursday's 2-1 loss to Detroit.
Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard was sensational in the Detroit net, stopping 51 of 52 shots on goal. The 52nd shot of the game, by Ryan Smyth, was the only shot to elude Howard and then Detroit did not allow another shot on goal for the remaining 4:22 of the game. The 23 shots on are an amazing total for the top line as a lot of teams struggle to do that in a game.
