Alexander Ovechkin scored three goals and assisted on the winning goal in a 5-4 overtime victory over the Penguins.
Mike Knuble put in the rebound off an Ovechkin shot that clanged off the post. Eric Fehr had the other Washington goal while Nicklas Backstrom chipped in with two assists and 10 PIMs.

Alexander Semin had two goals Tuesday night as Washington crushed the Islanders 7-2.
Semin now has 23 goals on the season. John Erskine, Brendan Morrison and Jason Chimera chipped in with a goal and an assist each, while Tomas Fleischmann and Eric Fehr posted two assists apiece.

Alexander Semin scored one goal and added three assists in Washington's 4-2 win over Phoenix Saturday night.
Semin’s three-point night paced the Capitals to their sixth-straight win, extending their lead in the Eastern conference standings. The Russian winger has been on fire over that span, registering two goals and eight assists to give him 49 points in 42 games this season. Eric Fehr recorded one goal and one assist for his first multi-point night since Dec. 5, while Alex Ovechkin finished the game with a goal and an assist as well. Brooks Laich netted the other Washington marker.

Alexander Ovechkin scored once and picked up four assists as the Washington Capitals rolled over the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-1 Friday night.
Ovechkin continues to amaze, as he has 12 points in his last five games. Mike Knuble scored twice, while Eric Fehr, Tomas Fleischmann, and Tom Poti scored the other goals for the Capitals.

Eric Fehr has been dropped to the Capitals' fourth line.
He will skate alongside some combination of Quintin Laing, David Steckel and Boyd Gordon on the Caps' fourth unit against the Kings Saturday. Fehr is in Washington coach Bruce Boudreau's doghouse due to shoddy defensive zone coverage.
