Evgeni Malkin scored his fifth goal of the season in a 6-2 loss to the Senators on Thursday.
Malkin has posted four points in two games since coming back to the Pittsburgh lineup after a shoulder injury. Jordan Staal scored the Penguins' other marker in the defeat.

Ruslan Fedotenko is playing on the top line with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.
Coach Dan Bylsma loaded up Pittsburgh's top line Saturday in an effort to boost offense and because the team is struggling through numerous injuries. It worked. Crosby and Malkin had three points each while Fedotenko chipped in with two assists. Fedotenko's fantasy value increases significantly so long as this unit remains together.

Pascal Dupuis scored two goals, including the overtime winner as the Pittsburgh Penguins sunk the Boston Bruins 6-5 Saturday evening.
Bill Guerin scored his fourth goal of the season less then a second left in third period period to force overtime. Evgeni Malkin had three assists while Sidney Crosby scored once and recorded two assists. Jay McKee and Mark Eaton also scored for Pittsburgh.

All systems are go for a return of Evgeni Malkin to the Penguins' lineup Saturday against Boston.
He has been out of action for almost three weeks with a shoulder injury. There will certainly be rejoicing in Pittsburgh and in the homes of many fantasy pool participants. Malkin is expected to start Saturday's game on a line with Sidney Crosby (who could use the boost) and Ruslan Fedotenko. Don't wait another minute. Activate Malkin RIGHT NOW!

The Penguins returned Chris Conner to the minors on Friday.
The move could mean Evgeni Malkin is ready to return to the lineup after missing the last seven games with a shoulder injury. Stay tuned.

Evgeni Malkin (shoulder) may return to the lineup as early as Saturday.
Malkin practiced hard for the second straight day Thursday. He still hasn't been cleared to play, but all signs are pointing to a return soon.
