Yann Danis was decent Tuesday night as the Devils lost to the Leafs 3-0.
Danis got the start as Brodeur has been on an inconsistent stretch of the season, practically alternating wins and losses since mid-January. Danis made 23 saves on 26 shots in this game. His record is now 3-1-0.

Yann Danis will get the nod for New Jersey on Tuesday against Toronto.
He has not started a game since Nov. 21 behind workhorse netminder Martin Brodeur. Danis owns a 3-0-0 record with a .938 save percentage and a 1.69 GAA in seven appearances this season.

Martin Brodeur got the hook Tuesday night as New Jersey fell to Ottawa 3-0.
Brodeur only managed 9 saves on 12 shots before getting pulled. He was replaced by Yann Danis who stopped all six shots he faced.

Martin Brodeur turned aside 20 of 22 Islanders' shots he faced in New Jersey's 4-2 win Saturday night.
Brodeur had struggled against the Islanders away from home, going 1-4-0 over his past five starts with a goals-against average close to 4.00 before tonight's win. Backup Yann Denis likely would have gotten a rare start this game, but became ill after Friday night’s game versus the Canadiens and although he felt better at practice Saturday, coach Jacques Lemaire opted to go with Brodeur. The move paid off as Brodeur earned his league-leading 31st win of the season, and the Devils kept pace with the Capitals in the battle for first place in the Eastern conference.

Yann Danis will not start in Saturday's game against the New York Islanders.
Devils coach Jacques Lemaire thought about having Danis play on Saturday, but Danis was sick Friday night and will consequently serve as Brodeur's backup. Danis hasn't started in a game since November 21st

There is a chance that Yann Danis will get the start against the Islanders Saturday.
If it should come to pass, it would break Martin Brodeur's streak of 28 consecutive starts. Brodeur has not fared well in Long Island (pulled in last two starts) and Danis once played for the Isles, so it is a very real possibility Danis will be between the pipes Saturday night.
