Mike Green was late for practice on Tuesday morning.
The offensive defender was forced to do some extra wind sprints by coach Bruce Boudreau as the rest of the team watched. When the Washington bench boss was asked if any other discipline would be taken he responded by saying, "I'm sure there will be." Green did not receive the text message that practice would be earlier than usual and so he showed up 15 minutes late. We'll let you know if anything comes of this.

Mike Green (suspended) is looking forward to returning to the lineup on Friday.
The enforced one week absence due to a three game suspension could do wonders for Green's game. "I had a lot of bumps and bruises, and they seem to be all gone now," Green said. "It seems like we play so many games that you can't get over your little injuries. Right now I feel really good. I haven't felt like this in a long time." With 52 points in 52 games, get him back in your lineup.

Mike Green has completed his three-game suspension.
Green was still walking with a bit of a limp on Thursday, but he is still expected to play Friday. "Mike will play tomorrow night, I can guarantee that," Bruce Boudreau said Thursday.

Mike Green is still walking with a bit of a limp, but he is expected play when he is eligible to return from his suspension on Friday.
Green's three-game suspension will come to an end when the Capitals' finish their game against the New York Rangers on Thursday. Green has been bothered by a bruised knee, but both he and coach Bruce Boudreau insist that it will not keep him out of the lineup. "Mike will play tomorrow night, I can guarantee that," Boudreau said.

Mike Green should be healthy enough to return to the Capitals' lineup when his suspension ends on Friday.
Green (bruised knee) was questionable for Sunday's game before the league handed him a three-game suspension. However, he fully participated in Monday's practice and stayed on the ice afterwards to get in some additional skating.

Even if Mike Green is healthy enough to play Sunday against Tampa, he will not be in the Capitals' lineup.
He was suspended for three games for elbowing Florida's Michael Frolik in the head Friday night. Reserve Green immediately.
