Alexander Semin scored two goals in Washington's 5-4 shootout win Wednesday night.
Semin snapped a six-game goal scoring slump. Eric Fehr and Tomas Fleischmann each netted a goal for Washington. Chris Clark netted the game-winning goal to end a lengthy shootout.

Tomas Fleischmann has been red hot for the Capitals since returning to the lineup from a blood clot in his leg.
He has recorded five goals and two assists in six games this season, to go along with a current five-game point streak. Fleischmann made his season debut on Oct. 29, which coincidentally was the only game he failed to earn a point in, after being out since training camp.

Mike Knuble led the way for the Caps with four points in Washingtons 7-4 win over Florida Saturday night.
Knuble scored twice and added two assists. Tomas Fleischmann also potted two goals. Brooks Laich, Quintin Laing and Mathieu Perreault had Washington's other goals. The Capitals scored five times in the final 20 minutes.

Tyler Sloan scored his first goal of the season in the losing effort. Mathieu Perreault, Chris Clark, Brooks Laich, and Mathieu Perreault each assisted on one of the two Capitals goals.

Tomas Fleischmann netted two in Washington's 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Islanders Friday night.
The two goals were his first two of the season. Defenseman Mike Green also had a two point night with a couple of assists. Alexander Ovechkin scored the other goal for the Caps.

Tomas Fleischmann played 16:07 in his first game of the season.
Fleischmann was sidelined in training camp after a physical revealed a blood clot in his leg. He didn't have any points but saw more than three minutes on the power-play, which bodes well for future production. He played on the third line with Keith Aucoin and Chris Clark.
