 Kevin Bieksa-D- CanucksJan. 20 - 8:52 am et
Kevin Bieksa has been working hard in off-ice sessions in his rehab from an ankle laceration.
He sliced two tendons on the outside of his left ankle in a game on Dec. 29 when he was cut by Coyotes forward Peter Prucha's skate. Bieksa has to wear a walking boot for another three weeks, but once it is removed he will have a better idea of when he might be available to return. The original prognosis was that he would be out for two to three months. Stay tuned.

 Kevin Bieksa-D - Canucks Jan. 1 - 9:27 am et

Kevin Bieksa could be out for at least two months after his leg was cut by a skate just over his ankle on Tuesday.
The Canucks had hoped to get some word about the severity of the injury by now, but the holiday season has delayed the results being known. It does not look good for Bieksa who is a very good source for points and penalty minutes in fantasy pools. It appears to be time to look elsewhere and replace Bieksa as he looks to be out for a long time. It should add value to defensemen Alexander Edler, Christian Ehrhoff and Sami Salo as they are the Canucks offensive rearguards at this time.

 Kevin Bieksa-D - Canucks Dec. 30 - 11:57 am et

Kevin Bieksa is out with a laceration to his left leg.
When Bieksa hit Phoenix's Petr Prucha into the boards, Prucha's skate came up and sliced Bieksa's leg just above his ankle. Two years ago Bieksa missed 47 games after his calf was sliced by a skate. Consider him out indefinitely until a more detail diagnosis is released.

 Kevin Bieksa-D - Canucks Dec. 22 - 9:00 am et

Kevin Bieksa has seen his ice time diminish the past two games.
He played 16:22 on Sunday versus St. Louis and 17:18 on Friday against Washington. Bieksa has logged a mere 24 seconds on the penalty kill in those two games as well. He was not pleased with the 'benching', but coach Alain Vigneault is clearly sending him a message to shore up his play in the defensive zone. Bieksa has 72 penalty minutes and 15 points in 36 games this season.

 Daniel Sedin-W - Canucks Dec. 13 - 12:49 am et

Daniel Sedin had a goal and an assist in the Canucks 4-3 victory against the Wild Saturday night.
The goal was his seventh of the season. He assisted Aelx Burrows' first period goal as well. His brother Henrik Sedin had a great night as well with three helpers. Kevin Bieksa also put on a strong performance with two assists.
 Alexander Edler-D - Canucks Nov. 14 - 10:36 am et

The Vancouver Canucks have not been getting enough scoring from their blueline.
The Canucks top three offensive defensemen, Alexander Edler, Kevin Bieksa and Sami Salo have scored only once this season as Bieksa potted a goal in the first game of the season. The trio are in a slump and when Willie Mitchell has one more goal than the three of them combined, you know there is a problem on the Vancouver blueline. "We want to contribute and score goals," Edler said. "We know it's important to the team that we do that. I've had some chances, especially on the power play. Sometimes you just throw it on net, score with a wrist shot from the blueline. Then other times you can't score when you have great chances." Don't give up hope on all three blueliners, as they should break out very soon.
