 Ryan Whitney-D - Ducks Nov. 29 - 6:38 am et

The Anaheim defense corps is finally heeding coach Randy Carlyle's pleas to shoot more.
The Ducks' blueliners have been averaging 10.4 shots in the last five games, which is a big step from the 6.6 shots they were averaging in the previous 19. Scott Niedermayer has led the charge with two goals and two assists over that five game span, while Ryan Whitney and James Wisniewski have recorded a goal and two assists apiece.

James Wisniewski returned to the Anaheim lineup on Saturday night.
He logged nearly 25 minutes of ice time in the team's 3-2 loss to San Jose, while scoring a power-play goal and finishing with a minus-1 rating. Wisniewski entered Saturday's as a game-time possibility after being sidelined with a bruised foot. Feel free to get him back into your lineup if you would normally do so.
 Ryan Whitney-D - Ducks Nov. 22 - 1:29 am et

Ryan Whitney scored his second goal of the season as Anaheim fell to the San Jose Sharks 3-2.
Whitney's goal came late in the second period on a power play. James Wisniewski scored the other goal. Corey Perry, Scott Niedermeyer, Saku Koivu and Bobby Ryan registered the assists for the Ducks in the loss.
 James Wisniewski-D - Ducks Nov. 21 - 5:38 am et

James Wisniewski (bruised foot) and Steve Eminger (back spasms) sat out practice on Friday.
The Ducks had only five healthy defensemen at practice so if both are unable to go, they will likely have to recall a blueliner from the minors. Brett Festerling is the probable candidate. Wisniewski and Eminger will see how they feel at the morning skate on Saturday to determine their availability later that evening against the Sharks.

 James Wisniewski-D - Ducks Nov. 20 - 5:16 am et

James Wisniewski injured his foot in the first period of Thursday's game and did not return.
Wisniewski was injured when he blocked a shot by the Lightning's Paul Szczechura. The x-rays turned up negative but Wisniewski did not return. Consider him day-to-day for now. Wisniewski has yet to score this season but has 10 assists in 15 games to go along with 18 penalty minutes. He is a good 4-5 defenseman in deeper pools.
