The Devils certainly didn't get their money's worth out of Johnny Oduya in the first half of the season.
After Oduya finished 2008-09 with seven goals, 29 points and a plus-21 plus/minus rating, the Devils inked him to a three-year/$10.5 million contract. However, Oduya has battled through injuries this season and has been ineffective even when he's healthy. He has just one point and a minus-one plus/minus rating in 25 games in 2009-10. "I think I had a tough start. Then, with the injury, I didn’t get going the way I wanted," Oduya said. "The last couple of games wasn’t really the standard I want to play at. But it’s a long season." He's worth keeping an eye on in the second half but he has no fantasy value at this time. Source: New Jersey Online
