Kari Lehtonen thinks he's NHL-ready, but coach John Anderson doesn't have a timetable in mind for Lehtonen's return.
"Kari is not going to go just yet," Thrashers coach John Anderson said. "We’ll see what he looks like on a day-to-day basis. I don’t want to set him up to fail. I want to make sure he’s 100 percent ready to go in and make an impact for us. I don’t know exactly what we are going to do. We might carry three [goaltenders]. We still have two or three weeks to decide." Lehtonen was Atlanta's number one goaltender when he got injured, but he has his work cut out for him if he wants to regain that role. Lehtonen will travel with the Thrashers during their upcoming three-game road trip to Colorado on Wednesday, Minnesota on Friday, and Chicago on Saturday, but that's no guarantee that he'll play in one of those games. Stay tuned. |
