Frans Nielsen recorded the lone Islanders' goal on Saturday night as they fell to the Hurricanes 3-1.
Nielsen potted his eighth goal of the season, which gives him 26 points in 52 contests this season. His career-high is only 33 points, which he set last season, so there isn't very much fantasy value in Nielsen. Blake Comeau picked up the lone assist on Nielsen's short-handed goal.

Matt Moulson finished with a goal and an assist in the Islanders' 6-5 shootout win over Atlanta Saturday night.
The multipoint effort ends an eight-game pointless streak for the 26-year old winger. Moulson now has 16 goals and 12 assists in 43 games, his first full NHL season. Frans Nielson finished with three assists. Josh Bailey recorded a goal and an assist.

John Tavares was unable to keep the shootout going in Ottawa and his Islanders fell 3-2 to the Senators Thursday night.
Rob Schremp and Jon Sim were the Islanders goal scorers in regulation. Frans Nielsen and Schremp scored in the shootout for the Isles.

Kyle Okposo led the way for the New York Islanders picking up three points in their 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers Saturday night.
Okposo assisted on both of the Islanders regulation goals while potting the overtime winner. Frans Nielsen added a goal and an assist in the win. Blake Comeau was the other Islander goal scorer, his fourth of the year came shorthanded.

Matt Moulson had a goal and an assists in the Islanders 3-2 overtime win Saturday night.
The goal is Moulson's first since December 3rd, when the 26-year old winger recorded a hat trick in Atlanta. Frans Neilson scored the winner just 24 seconds into overtime. Robbie Schremp scored the Isle's other goal. Kyle Okposo finished with the game with two helpers.

Frans Nielsen returned to action on Thursday.
