Krys Barch spent Saturday's game in the press box.
With Fabian Brunnstrom back from his conditioning assignment and Brian Sutherby's recent activation from the injury reserve list, the Stars currently have a surplus of healthy forwards. That could result in less playing time for Barch, who has two assists and 48 penalty minutes in 22 games this season.

Brian Sutherby was activated from injured reserve on Saturday, but watched from the press box as a healthy scratch against the Lightning.
Sutherby had been out with a groin injury since November 12th. The Stars have a plethora of healthy forwards right now, but coach Marc Crawford likes having that flexibility and depth on his roster. He will likely tinker with his lineup until he finds a group he likes more than the rest. Krys Barch also sat as a healthy scratch on Saturday night.

Krys Barch has been suffering from a back injury.
Barch has missed the Stars' past two games due to the ailment, but he's expected to play Thursday. Barch has one assist and 17 penalty minutes in 14 games this season.

Jamie Benn was back practicing in the Stars' top-six forward group on Monday, skating on a line with Mike Ribeiro and Brenden Morrow.
Jere Lehtinen was bumped down to the team's third unit with Mike Modano and Fabian Brunnstrom. Brian Sutherby moved up to play on the wing with Brad Richards and Loui Eriksson, while Steve Ott was relegated to the fourth line with Tom Wandell and Toby Petersen. However, these combinations are sure to change at Tuesday's practice as injured forwards James Neal (groin) and Krys Barch (back) are expected to return.

Krys Barch, Toby Petersen and Jeff Woywitka were healthy scratches for the Dallas Stars on Wednesday.
Barch and Petersen were removed from the lineup upon the return of Mike Modano and Jere Lehtinen from injuries. Barch has some fantasy value in pools that use penalty minutes. Peterson and Woywitka have none.
