Pierre Parenteau scored the shootout winner in a 2-1 win over the Senators.
Parenteau was recently recalled and struck deep into the shootout. Vaclav Prospal had the regulation goal for the Rangers, which was a short-handed marker assisted by Marian Gaborik.

The Rangers recalled Pierre Parenteau from the minors Friday.
Parenteau is tearing up the AHL with 10 goals and 20 points in just 13 games. With injuries to top-nine forwards Chris Drury and Brandon Dubinsky, Parenteau may get a shot to play with some offensive guys - if coach John Tortorella doesn't just stick him on the bench for 55 minutes of the game.

P.A. Parenteau netted his first career goal in a 3-1 loss to the Islanders Wednesday night.
Parenteau has played just five career games at the NHL level before, with a sole assist to his name. Not bad for a guy who was just called up the morning of the game. His goal was unassisted.

Pierre Parenteau has been called up by the Rangers.
Parenteau is expected to play with the Rangers on Wednesday if Marian Gaborik is unable to play due to an undisclosed injury. Parenteau has eight goals and 14 points in nine AHL games this season, but he doesn't have any fantasy value at this time.

The New York Rangers have re-signed Pierre Parenteau.
Parenteau scored 29 goals and 78 points in 74 games with the AHL Hartford Wolf Pack last season. He might be in the running for one of the Rangers' last opening day roster spots.
