Jason Spezza scored a goal and added an assist in the Senators 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames Tuesday night.
What a goal rush! It was Spezza's 10th goal in his last 10 games, after scoring just three in his first 27 contests. Alexei Kovalev also scored for Ottawa.

Alexei Kovalev notched a goal and an assist in Ottawa's 3-2 win over Montreal in overtime on Saturday.
He opened the scoring against his former team in the first period with his 14th marker of the campaign. Jason Spezza and Mike Fisher, who scored the game-winner, also found the back of the net for the Senators in the contest. Defensemen Filip Kuba and Erik Karlsson collected two helpers apiece in the win.

Alexei Kovalev extended his point streak to seven games Tuesday.
He has two goals and six assists during that stretch and had 13 goals and 37 points through 51 games. It looks like he's duplicating last year's second half success with the Canadiens.

Alex Kovalev scored the game-winner as Ottawa beat the Devils 3-0 Tuesday night.
Kovalev now has 13 goals on the season. Milan Michalek and Jason Spezza both scored for the Senators as well. Filip Kuba had two assists.

Alexei Kovalev is riding a six game point scoring streak.
He has one goal, six assists, a +3 rating and eight PIMs during that stretch. After a slow start to the season, Kovalev now has 12 goals and 36 points through 50 games. It was around this time last year when the mercurial forward stepped up his game in Montreal and had a huge second half. Look for more of the same this season.

Daniel Alfredsson had a hat trick in Ottawa's 5-1 victory over Boston Monday afternoon.
Alfredsson returned to the Senators' lineup on Saturday after missing nearly a month due to a separated left shoulder. He's been quick to make up for lost time, scoring a stunning four goals and six points in his last two games. Alex Kovalev and Jonathan Cheechoo netted the other two Senators goals. Mike Fisher registered three assists, giving him 38 points in 48 games this season. Filip Kuba assisted on two of Ottawa's five goals.
