Jonathan Ericsson was back in the Detroit lineup on Wednesday after being a healthy scratch on Tuesday.
Ericsson must have been an unhappy camper as he fought the Ducks Troy Bodie on Wednesday. He is having a bad season with only 10 points and a minus-13 rating in 42 games. He now has 29 penalty minutes.

Jonathan Ericsson will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday night against the Sharks.
"I don't think it's a message, because we've talked over and over and over again," coach Mike Babcock said. "We think he's a good player; we like what he's done in the past. We like his size and his talent. It hasn't gone for him." Ericsson has struggled this season at both ends of the ice, recording just 10 points and a minus-12 rating in 41 games.

Jonathan Ericsson returned to action on Thursday January 14.
Ericsson played 15:17 minutes in the Red Wings 3-1 win. "It was great having his big body back in the lineup," coach Mike Babcock said. "But he's not as quick yet as he's going to be. It's going to take a few games." Ericsson has only three goals and 10 points in 31 games this season to go along with a minus-seven rating. His fantasy value is limited.

Jonathan Ericsson (knee) will be a game time decision on Thursday.
Ericsson suffered his knee injury on Dec. 14. He will partake in the morning skate and a decision as to whether or not he will be able to play will be made after that. Stay tuned.

Jonathan Ericsson (knee) might be able to play on Thursday.
"I have to talk to the trainers, yet," Ericsson said. "The only thing is everything still hurts when I’m skating hard out there and battling, quick movement. If I just skate around, I’m fine. But it is better and I’m hoping to play Thursday." He sustained the injury when Phoenix's Shane Doan hit him in the first period of December 14's game.

Jonathan Ericsson (knee) will miss the next two games.
Ericsson has been practicing with the Red Wings, but fell on Wednesday. He felt some pain but was able to continue practice. He has been out of the Detroit lineup since Dec. 14. Stay tuned.
