Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin scored in the shootout to lead Pittsburgh to a 2-1 win over Detroit.
Crosby scored his 34th goal of the season in the first, which was assisted by Malkin and Alex Goligoski. Kris Letang was the other Pittsburgh shooter, but he was stopped by Jimmy Howard.

Goligoski missed one game because of the injury already. He's considered day-to-day.

Alex Goligoski is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.
Goligoski missed Monday's skate and he will not play in Pittsburgh's game against Philadelphia on Monday. He has six goals and 23 points in 43 games this season.

The defender has been out since November 28 with an undisclosed injury. He was held pointless in 20:58, but is worth owning because of his 16 points in 22 games this season.

Gologoski has missed 10 of the last 11 games with an undisclosed injury. He will make Martin Skoula a healthy scratch. Goligoski has a lot of offensive upside and should be in a fantasy lineup in all but the shallowest of fantasy pools that require defensemen.
