Patrick Kaleta (neck) and defenseman Chris Butler (ankle) will not play on Saturday night for the Sabres.
"I don't like putting two or three guys in the lineup that haven't practiced or haven't played," coach Lindy Ruff said. "I've said in the past once they say they're ready, you should keep them out another game just to get them to really practice hard. Typically, a player's ready to play, but his body isn't ready to play. In Pat's case, he's had four, five days off. In Butler's case, he really hasn't had a full practice." Ruff added that both players are very close to returning to the lineup though. Source: Sabres Edge
