Ville Leino is one of a few Detroit Red Wings who could get demoted when injured players start returning.
The Red Wings still have Niklas Kronwall, Johan Franzen, Tomas Holmstrom and Jason Williams out of action and when they return, the team will be around $1.5 million over the salary cap. Drew Miller and Justin Abdelkader still have some minor league options left, but then it gets close for Leino as he could be next in line. He has struggled mightily this season with only four goals and seven points in 41 games. He is also minus-nine. He is not worth owning in fantasy pools at this time and at age 26 could be headed out of Detroit in a trade at the deadline. Source: Detroit News
