Matt Halischuk will serve as a healthy scratch on Saturday against the Lightning.
The Devils' rookie has failed a score a point in seven games this season and has a minus-2 rating. Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond will dress in his place.

 Travis Zajac-C - Devils Oct. 19 - 9:45 am et

Travis Zajac will remain on a line with Niclas Bergfors and Matt Halischuk.
Coach Jacques Lemaire broke up the top line of Zajac, Zach Parise and Jamie Langenbrunner Saturday in an effort to balance the attack. Rob Niedermayer will remain with the top unit while Dainius Zubrus will play on the third line with Brian Rolston and Jay Pandolfo. "I feel much better with the lines we have right now — our team is much more solid," Lemaire told the New York Post. Fortunately, Zajac has developed into a player that can produce on his own - plus he'll still play with the big boys on the power-play.

 Travis Zajac-C - Devils Oct. 18 - 8:12 am et

New Jersey bench boss Jacques Lemaire used new line combinations on Saturday night.
He broke up his top line, placing Travis Zajac between rookie forwards Niclas Bergfors and Matt Halischuk and promoting Rob Niedermayer to play with Zach Parise and Jamie Langenbrunner. Dainius Zubrus was dropped down the third unit to skate with Jay Pandolfo and Brian Rolston. The Devils reponded with a 2-0 win over Carolina. "I just wasn't happy with the way the other pairs were going," Lemaire said. "We can't have too much patience. You can't lose a game because you have too much patience."
