The Calgary Flames have signed Riley Armstrong to a one-year contract.
No terms were announced. Armstrong has been in the San Jose system for the last five years and finally played two games in the NHL last season. The 24 year old is not a fantasy asset and will probably spend the season in the AHL barring injuries.

The Flames have signed Garth Murray to a contract.
Terms of the deal weren't released. Murray had no points in 10 games with the Coyotes last season. He collected 11 goals and 21 points in 64 games in the AHL last season. Murray is a depth player for the organization and will spend most of his time in the minors. The Flames also signed minor leaguer Riley Armstrong to a contract - no terms were released for him either.

Riley Armstrong was called up from the minors for Saturday's contest.
He played just over five minutes against the Coyotes, while registering one shot on goal. This is just an FYI as he has no fantasy value.
