 Scott Niedermayer-D - Ducks Jan. 5 - 6:24 am et

Scott Niedermayer is not exactly enjoying a banner year for the Ducks this season.
The off-season losses of Chris Pronger and Francois Beauchemin have resulted in the team leaning heavily on him for help on their blueline and he has not responded with a strong effort statistically. Niedermayer owns a disappointing minus-13 rating and he has contributed 25 points in 42 games. His offensive numbers are slightly behind last season's pace, but his current goal production, of four, needs improving. He'll need to be better in the second half.

 Scott Niedermayer-D - Ducks Dec. 30 - 1:13 pm et

Scott Niedermayer will serve as Team Canada's captain for the 2010 Winter Olympics Games.
Chris Pronger, Dan Boyle, Drew Doughty, Brent Seabrook, Duncan Keith, and Shea Weber will round out Canada's blueline. Of the players that made the final cut, Doughty and Seabrook's spots were the most in doubt. However, Doughty has been a workhouse for the Los Angeles Kings, and Seabrook is in the midst of a very successful season with teammate Keith.

 Bobby Ryan-W - Ducks Dec. 19 - 6:56 pm et

Bobby Ryan scored a power-play goal in a 4-2 victory Saturday.
Mike Brown, Kyle Chipchura, and Ryan Getzlaf each netted a goal for the Ducks. Scott Niedermayer registered two assists, giving him 22 points in 36 games this season.
 Ryan Whitney-D - Ducks Nov. 29 - 6:38 am et

The Anaheim defense corps is finally heeding coach Randy Carlyle's pleas to shoot more.
The Ducks' blueliners have been averaging 10.4 shots in the last five games, which is a big step from the 6.6 shots they were averaging in the previous 19. Scott Niedermayer has led the charge with two goals and two assists over that five game span, while Ryan Whitney and James Wisniewski have recorded a goal and two assists apiece.
