Robert Lang is excited about joining the Coyotes.
The 38-year-old signed a one-year deal with Phoenix on Tuesday and believes they can surprise people this season. "I think people look at this team and say, 'Oh, yeah, it's a younger team and last year and this and that," Lang said, "but I think they have a real solid goalie (Ilya Bryzgalov), and if you look at this team now, they have a few veteran players and the younger guys are a year older, have a year behind them. If we do our job, we could do well." Lang has told the team that his torn Achilles' tendon has healed and he is ready to play. "He was very adamant that that injury wasn't going to be a problem for him at all and he says he's in good shape, and so we'll see how things go in practice for him (today)," said coach Dave Tippett.
