 Daymond Langkow-C- FlamesFeb. 6 - 8:08 am et
Daymond Langkow will play in his 1000th game on Saturday.
Langkow is the Flames second player in two days to reach the magic mark as Jarome Iginla did it on Friday night. Langkow will play against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the team he was drafted in the first round by, in 1995. Langkow has slipped the last two seasons in fantasy value as he had only 49 points in 2008-09, the first time he was under the 50 point mark since the 1998-99 season and is on a similar pace this season with only 32 points in 58 games. That being said, we congratulate Langkow on reaching the 1000 game milestone.

 Ales Kotalik-W - Flames Feb. 3 - 7:32 am et

Ales Kotalik was not able to join his new Calgary teammates at practice on Tuesday because of a flight cancellation.
However, he is expected to be in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Carolina. Kotalik did not perform well on the Rangers this season, but coach Brent Sutter was quick to come to his defense on Tuesday. "You know what? I could really care less about what's happened to him in New York," said Sutter. "Whatever's transpired this year, I don't know. It's irrelevant, really, right now ... because we need him to come in and be a good player for us." He is projected to skate on a line with Daymond Langkow and Chris Higgins when he arrives.

 Robyn Regehr-D - Flames Feb. 3 - 7:24 am et

General manager Darryl Sutter held one-on-one meetings with Calgary veterans Robyn Regehr, Jarome Iginla and Daymond Langkow on Tuesday.
When asked what the meetings entailed, Regehr responded, "What do you think? Not a visit you look forward to. He's not a happy man. And he has every right to be unhappy. The way we've played for a while ... it's just not nearly good enough. In pro sports, if you don't win, there are going to be consequences. The message? Pretty clear: Get going." Calgary has just one win in their last 11 games going into Wednesday's match-up with the Hurricanes.

 Daymond Langkow-C - Flames Jan. 21 - 6:39 am et

Daymond Langkow was even during Monday's 9-1 loss to San Jose.
Twelve of Langkow's teammates were minus in the embarrassing loss to the Sharks. It is amazing that Langkow was even as he was 0-11 in face off draws, dropping his efficency to 43.3 percent. Langkow is not having a good fantasy season as he has 11 goals and 30 points in 50 points to go with 18 penalty minutes. He is worth owning in deeper pools, but if you use faceoff percentage as a stat, he'll really hurt you.

 Craig Conroy-C - Flames Jan. 20 - 3:06 pm et

The Flames shook up their lines a little practice on Wednesday.
Daymond Langkow was still skating with Nigel Dawes and Rene Bourque, while Olli Jokinen was between Eric Nystrom and Jamie Lundmark. Jarome Iginla was joined by Curtis Glencross and Craig Conroy.

 Nigel Dawes-W - Flames Jan. 15 - 7:09 am et

Nigel Dawes is mired in a 13 game goalless slump.
Dawes is one of many Flames who are having a tough time finding the back of the net as Eric Nystrom has a 29 game streak, David Moss has a measly goal in 20 games, Olli Jokinen, two in 17, Daymond Langkow, one in 14 and Jarome Iginla has one goal in his past ten games. Thank God for Miikka Kiprusoff who has been sensational this season in the Flames net. Calgary is bound to break out of this slump sooner or later. Nashville, who play Calgary on Friday, hopes it lasts one more game.
