Jose Theodore will dress as Seymon Varlamov's backup Saturday night in Toronto.
He had gone home earlier in the week to attend to some personal matters. The Capitals have returned Michael Neuvirth to Hershey of the AHL.

Michal Neuvirth stopped 19 shots in Washington's 3-2 loss to the Canadiens Friday night.
Neuvirth was making his fourth career start and first of the season. The young goaltender played well despite the loss. Neuvirth now sports a 2-2 NHL record. Don't expect Neuvirth to be with the club for much longer as Jose Theodore (personal) should return to the team soon.

It appears as though Semyon Varlamov will get the nod in goal for Washington on Friday.
He was the first goalie off the ice at practice on Friday morning. It is also uncertain if Jose Theodore will be able to play in the next few games for the Capitals. Coach Bruce Boudreau said the team is considering the notion of starting Michal Neuvirth if Theodore is unable to play. We will keep you posted.

Jose Theodore (personal) might not be able to play with the Capitals on Friday or Saturday.
Theodore missed Tuesday's game so that he could travel to Northern Virginia to attend to a family matter. He rejoined the team on Wednesday, but he might need some more time before he's ready to play. "We knew it wouldn't be a one-day commitment," said GM George McPhee. Michal Neuvirth is expected to stay in the NHL as long as Theodore is unable to play. We'll keep you posted.

Jose Theodore has rejoined the Capitals after missing Tuesday's game for personal reasons.
Theodore went to Northern Virginia to attend to a family matter. No word yet on who Washington's starting goaltender will be on Friday, but Theodore is expected to be available.

Jose Theodore will not be in the Capitals' lineup on Tuesday night.
The goaltender traveled back to Northern Virginia to attend to a family matter, but is scheduled to report back to the team on Wednesday for practice. In the meantime, Semyon Varlamov will start for Washington on Tuesday night in New York versus the Rangers and Michal Neuvirth has been recalled to serve as his backup.
