Jamal Mayers will play on Calgary's fourth line with Eric Nystrom and Brandon Prust.
Calgary acquired Mayers from Toronto as part of a huge seven-player deal on Sunday. Mayers will spend a considerable amount of time in the sin bin no matter what uniform he's wearing, but he has just eight points in 44 games this season.

Jamal Mayers has been traded to the Flames.
He was part of the monstrous deal for Dion Phaneuf. Mayers has two goals, eight points and 78 PIMs this season.

Dion Phaneuf was traded to the the Maple Leafs in a seven player trade.
Fredrik Sjostrom and prospect Keith Aulie are part of the package heading to Toronto. Niklas Hagman, Matt Stajan, Ian White and Jamal Mayers are now Calgary Flames. It is a wild deal for both teams with Phaneuf being the centerpiece for Toronto. He needed a change of scenery, especially after Calgary brought in Jay Bouwmeester in the summer and the development of Mark Giordano. Phaneuf's offense will increase in Toronto, but his plus-minus rating will plummet.

Phil Kessel scored twice in Toronto’s 5-3 loss to Vancouver Saturday night.
Kessel now sits at 17 goals for the season. Kessel had not scored in his previous five games. Jamal Mayers also scored for the Leafs. Alexei Ponikarovsky and Matt Stajan each had two assists.

Alexei Ponikarovsky scored one goal and added an assist in Toronto's 5-4 overtime loss to New Jersey Friday night.
Ponikarovsky has a goal and three assists in the Maple Leafs last two games. His production will be monitored closely as the 6'4 winger should draw interest from several teams as the NHL trade deadline approaches, especially given his unrestricted free agent status after this season. Jamal Mayers, another Maple Leaf who could be on the move, finished with two assists.

Jamal Mayers has been given permission by the Maple Leafs to seek a possible trading partner for his services.
Mayers' agent, Pat Brisson, and Toronto general manager have made it known that the rugged winger is available. Stay tuned as the Leafs are rumored to be shopping Matt Stajan and Alexei Ponikarovsky as well.
