For those of you waiting for Vaclav Prospal to cool off, it is not likely to happen.
He is playing the best hockey of his life in New York and coach John Tortorella simply loves him. Tortorella had this to say about Prospal on Friday: "Vinny gets me and I get him. I just think Vinny competes so hard. He is the hardest-working player in every practice". Prospal is on his way to an 85-point season. Unless he is injured, we don't see any reason why he won't be amongst the league's top 20-25 scorers by season's end.

Vaclav Prospal recorded one goal and two assists in the Rangers' 5-2 triumph over the Coyotes on Monday.
Rookie defender Michael Del Zotto posted two assists, while Enver Lisin registered a two-point effort as well with a goal and a helper.

Vaclav Prospal put up two goals and three points in a 4-2 victory over the Kings Wednesday night.
Both of Prospal’s first period goals came on the power play. He extended his point-streak to six games, with three goals and ten points in that time. Marian Gaborik and Brian Boyle rounded out the scoring for New York. Gaborik has scored at least a point in each game for the Rangers so far. He has six goals and ten points on the year. Ales Kotalik and Michael Del Zotto both chipped in with a pair of assists.

Michael Del Zotto scored a goal and added an assist in New York's 3-2 win over New Jersey Monday night.
Del Zotto has now scored in back-to-back games. Another Ranger rookie defensemen Matt Gilroy also scored in the contest. It was his first NHL point. Ales Kotalik, who assisted on Gilroy's goal, had New York's other tally, while Vaclav Prospal registered two assists in the victory.

The Rangers' top line of Brandon Dubinsky, Marian Gaborik and Vaclav Prospal was stellar in Saturday's 5-2 triumph over the Senators.
The trio combined for six points and a plus-7 rating in the contest. They appear to have great chemistry, which is remarkable considering Gaborik and Prospal just joined the team in the off-season. Keep them all active.

The Rangers' first line played well against the Penguins on Friday but no other units had much success.
New York's top line of Marian Gaborik, Brandon Dubinksy and Vaclav Prospal was somewhat dangerous, but the team's second unit featuring Chris Drury needs some work. Prospal is due for a big year. He may just get it playing alongside the talented Gaborik.
