 Marc Savard-C - Bruins Jan. 30 - 10:18 pm et

Marc Savard finished with one assist in Boston's 3-2 shootout loss to Los Angeles Saturday night.
Savard now has an assist in consecutive games since returning from a knee injury that kept him sidelined for most of January. Marco Sturm and Mark Recchi netted one goal each for Boston in the loss.

Marc Savard was encouraged after his first game back from a right knee injury.
He logged 21 shits and played 18:26 in the 2-1 loss to Buffalo Friday night and registered an assist on the Bruins' only goal. The better news is that he was pain-free. "It felt pretty good,’’ Savard said. "A couple of shifts there I ran out of a little gas. But it held up pretty good. No pain at all after, and that’s a little surprising.’’ Activate Savard immediately if you have not already done so.

 Milan Lucic-W - Bruins Jan. 29 - 11:25 pm et

Milan Lucic scored the Bruins' lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Buffalo Friday night.
The tally was just the third of the season for Lucic, who has struggled mightily for the Bruins this season. The rugged winger has eight points in 20 games, struggling with injuries and inconsistencies just one year removed from a 17-goal, 42-point season. Marc Savard and Zdeno Chara assisted on the marker.

Marc Savard will be wearing a metal brace to protect his right knee when he returns to the Bruins' lineup on Friday.
"It’s just about getting adjusted to the brace," Savard said. "The brace isn’t a fun thing for anyone, but a lot of guys wear them their whole careers and do fine. It’s something I’m going to get used to." The brace may slow down his production a bit in the short run, but it will help that he's the Bruins plan to have him serve as a power-play quarterback and have put him on a line with Milan Lucic and Miroslav Satan. He has nine goals and 22 points in 28 games this season.

 Marc Savard-C - Bruins Jan. 28 - 3:26 pm et

Marc Savard (knee) will be in the Boston lineup on Friday.
Savard missed eight games with the knee injury. He will center the top line once again, with Milan Lucic and Miroslav Satan on his wings. As well, Savard will be on the point during the power play as he is the Bruins quarterback with the man-advantage. Savard will help the offensively-challenged Boston attack as he is their top offensive player. He has 22 points in 28 games this season. Get ready to activate Savard.
