Chris Mason is expected to get his fifth straight start in goal for St. Louis on Saturday.
The Blues are the eighth best team in the NHL in goals-against-average and Mason and Ty Conklin have been a big reason why. "Our goaltending has been outstanding all season," coach Andy Murray said. Mason is 5-6-3 with a .925 save percentage and a 2.25 GAA. He is eligible to become a UFA in the off-season but would love to stay with the Blues. "I want to be here obviously, there's no secret about that," Mason said. "The only thing I can do is play hockey. If I play well, things will take care of themselves. Hopefully they want me back. It will work itself out. I'm just worried about getting points right now." |
