Stephen Valiquette will start in Saturday's game against the Calgary Flames.
Starting goaltender Henrik Lundqvist is day-to-day with a minor undisclosed injury, so Valiquette will play in between the pipes. Valiquette has a 2.63 GAA and .891 save percentage in three starts this season.

Stephen Valiquette turned aside 26 of the 28 shots he faced in New York's 4-2 win against Edmonton Thursday.
The win was his second of the season and improves his record to 2-1-0 on the season. This win marks the first time that the Rangers have won in Edmonton since 1999.

The Rangers' back-up allowed five goals on 18 shots before giving way to Henrik Lundqvist. Lundqvist stopped 10 of 12. It was Valiquette's second start of the season, but don't expect a heavy workload from him. Lundqvist is a horse in goal, and the Rangers will ride him as often as possible.

Henrik Lundqvist was outstanding in the Rangers' 4-1 victory over Toronto on Saturday, but the Rangers want to give him the occasional game off. This is just Valiquette's second start of the season and he isn't likely to play in more than 10-15 games as Lundqvist's backup.
