 Marty Turco-G- StarsNov. 21 - 7:24 am et
The Dallas Stars have been keeping Marty Turco rested and sharp in the first quarter of the season.
Turco will get the start in goal on Saturday, but coach Marc Crawford is not overusing him this season. Turco has played in 14 of the Stars first 21 games and has not been between the pipes for more than three games in a row this season, a big difference from last season when he saw action in 74 of the Stars 82 games. Alexander Auld has been a very capable backup and will make 25-30 starts this season, keeping Turco well rested the rest of the season. Turco has responded well with a 6-4-4 record, a .915 save percentage and a 2.37 GAA, much better than last season's 33-31-10 record with a .898 save percentage and a 2.81 GAA. He is now once again a valuable fantasy goaltender.

 Marty Turco-G - Stars Nov. 19 - 8:46 am et

Marty Turco will be back in goal on Thursday when the Stars take on Columbus.
Turco hopes to play as well as Alexander Auld played on Wednesday when the Stars defeated Detroit 3-1. Coach Marc Crawford decided to split the goaltending for the back-to-back games, but look for Turco to play 55-60 games this season. He is a must start in fantasy pools that use goaltending stats.

Alexander Auld will start in Wednesday's game against Detroit.
Dallas will also play on Thursday, but there was some speculation that Turco might play on back-to-back days for the first time this season. Stars coach Marc Crawford recently suggested that he planned to start playing Turco more frequently, but Crawford still decided to have Auld play between the pipes Wednesday. Auld has a 3.62 GAA and .881 save percentage in six starts this season.

 Marty Turco-G - Stars Nov. 16 - 10:24 am et

The Dallas Stars are expected to give Marty Turco a heavier workload for the remainder of the month.
Dallas has been doing their best to limit Turco's starts and keep him fresh this season. However, Turco has been on fire and the rest of the team is having trouble building momentum. The Stars might have him play on back-to-back days for the first time this season when the Stars play Detroit on Wednesday and Columbus on Thursday. The Stars will play eight games in 13 days starting Wednesday and Turco is expected to get the bulk of the starts. "We have taken care of the rest, and the schedule really has been very favorable for us, but it’s time to play him now," coach Marc Crawford said. "When you have a stretch like this, you want your goalie sharp, and we think we are ready for this."

Turco's impressive career record against the Sharks continues, as does his stellar play this season.
