The Dallas Stars are expected to give Marty Turco a heavier workload for the remainder of the month.
Dallas has been doing their best to limit Turco's starts and keep him fresh this season. However, Turco has been on fire and the rest of the team is having trouble building momentum. The Stars might have him play on back-to-back days for the first time this season when the Stars play Detroit on Wednesday and Columbus on Thursday. The Stars will play eight games in 13 days starting Wednesday and Turco is expected to get the bulk of the starts. "We have taken care of the rest, and the schedule really has been very favorable for us, but it’s time to play him now," coach Marc Crawford said. "When you have a stretch like this, you want your goalie sharp, and we think we are ready for this." Source: Fort-Worth Star Telegram
