Toni Lydman will return to the Buffalo lineup on Friday night.
He skated with Steve Montador in the morning skate and will take the place of Andrej Sekera on the Sabres' blueline. Lydman was just cleared to play earlier this week after recovering from a groin injury, but sat out Wednesday's game as a healthy scratch.

Toni Lydman was a healthy scratch Thursday.
Lydman was declared fit to play after missing 11 games with a groin injury. Coach Lindy Ruff didn't want to alter a winning lineup. With their 6-2 loss to Florida, though, Lydman will likely draw back into the lineup Friday against Boston.

Toni Lydman will probably be a healthy scratch Wednesday.
Lydman has recovered from the groin injury that forced him to miss Buffalo's last 10 games, but coach Lindy Ruff is reluctant to break up the blueline that has served him so well. It may be a couple of games before Lydman is able to work his way back into Buffalo`s top three defensive pairings.

Toni Lydman (groin) is healthy and ready to return to the Buffalo lineup.
However, coach Lindy Ruff would not say if he will dress in Wednesday's game against Florida. Lydman has missed the past 10 games with a groin injury and the Sabres are reluctant to tinker with a winning lineup. Ruff said a decision will be talked about on Wednesday morning.

Lydman has been limited to just four games this season due a hand and then groin injury. He had 23 points and 70 penalty minutes in 80 games last season.

Toni Lydman (groin) is hopeful of returning to the lineup some time next week.
Lydman has been out since October 21 with the injury. He will not play Saturday, but next Wednesday's game against the Panthers is an option.
