Tim Connolly registered two assists in Buffalo's 5-3 win over Tampa Bay Wednesday night.
Connolly extends his point streak to seven games with the multipoint effort. The Sabres' pivot has five goals and six assists over that span. Toni Lydman and Craig Rivet also finished with two helpers for Buffalo.

Vesa Toskala's improved play as of late did not carry over into Friday's game as the Leafs fell to the Sabres 5-2.
Toskala let in a few soft goals, most notably, Toni Lydman's wrister that hand-cuffed the Finnish netminder. Jonas Gustavsson made his return after Toskala allowed four goals. The Monster turned aside 16 of 17.

Toni Lydman's first goal of the season was the turning point in Buffalo's 5-2 win over Toronto Friday night.
Lydman finished with two points, his goal was a soft wrister that hand-cuffed Vesa Toskala giving the Sabres a 2-1 lead at the time. Mike Grier also picked up two points in the victory. Matt Ellis, Derek Roy and Tomas Vanek were the other Buffalo goal scorers.

Toni Lydman will return to the Buffalo lineup on Friday night.
He skated with Steve Montador in the morning skate and will take the place of Andrej Sekera on the Sabres' blueline. Lydman was just cleared to play earlier this week after recovering from a groin injury, but sat out Wednesday's game as a healthy scratch.

Toni Lydman was a healthy scratch Thursday.
Lydman was declared fit to play after missing 11 games with a groin injury. Coach Lindy Ruff didn't want to alter a winning lineup. With their 6-2 loss to Florida, though, Lydman will likely draw back into the lineup Friday against Boston.
