The Anaheim Ducks have sent Kyle Calder to the minors.
Calder passed through waivers and was sent to the Toronto Marlies of the AHL. Calder had only two assists in 14 NHL games this season. He has no fantasy value.

The Anaheim Ducks have placed Kyle Calder on waivers.
Calder was given a shot at playing on the Ducks top line due to the injuries to Teemu Selanne and Joffrey Lupul. "We felt Kyle played hard for us," Coach Randy Carlyle said. "The situation we’re in, there wasn’t enough results to play him with our best players … he worked hard. It just didn’t work this time. Maybe next it does."

Kyle Calder has been used on the Ducks top line alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry since returning from an eye injury a week ago.
Coach Randy Carlyle likes the way Calder works along the boards and is able to get the puck to Getzlaf and Perry. Calder has the spot due to injuries to Teemu Selanne and Joffrey Lupul. Unless he clicks amazingly well with Getzlaf and Perry quickly, he will find himself on the third line or worse when Selanne returns to the Ducks lineup in mid-January. Until then, he is worth a shot in deeper pools.

Kyle Calder was activated from the IL on Friday.
Calder missed the last six games with an eye injury. He was held pointless in 9:57 of ice time.

Kyle Calder (eye) is nearing a return to the lineup.
The return could be as early as Friday in Detroit as Joffrey Lupul is questionable with a leg injury. Calder has missed the last six games after sustaining the eye injury on November 28. He has very little, if any, fantasy value, although that would change if he is used on the top line with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf.

Kyle Calder (eye) has been given the green light to participate in full contact drills during practice.
Calder sustained an eye injury during a practice on November 28th. He might return to the Ducks lineup on Friday against Detroit or Saturday against Columbus.
