The Bengals are targeting training camp for DE Antwan Odom (Achilles' surgery) to resume football-related activities.
Odom led the NFL in sacks before his year-ending injury. The team's pass rush fell apart without him down the stretch, managing just eight sacks in the last six games and none in the last two. Odom had surgery on October 19, so by the start of camp in late July he'll be a healthy eight months removed.

Bengals RE Antwan Odom recently began rehab on his torn right Achilles' tendon.
Odom said his recovery is on schedule. He hopes to be back for minicamps, but training camp seems like a more realistic goal. Odom had eight sacks in six games this season.

Bengals placed RE Antwan Odom on injured reserve with a ruptured right Achilles' tendon, ending his season.
Odom, who had surgery Monday, finishes with eight sacks, 19 tackles, and two pass breakups in six games. Injury prone his entire career, Odom will be 29 at the start of next season but is sure to return at his $3.4M salary. How he rehabs from the devastating injury will determine his role.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Bengals RE Antwan Odom is done for 2009 with a torn Achilles' tendon.
The Bengals drafted well enough (i.e. third-round pick Michael Johnson) to provide talented depth for such a loss, but Odom was off to the best start of his career. After gaining weight in the offseason in a move we were skeptical of, Odom had eight sacks in the first six games. He will need surgery and go on injured reserve. Downgrade the Bengals' fantasy defense.

Bengals RE Antwan Odom exited the locker room on crutches after injuring his Achilles in the team's Week 6 loss to Houston.
Coach Marvin Lewis admitted that the injury was "probably pretty severe," and Odom refused to speak with reporters. Odom, who is tied with Elvis Dumervil for the NFL sacks lead, will likely undergo a Monday MRI to confirm the injury. An Achilles' tear would require surgery and end Odom's season.

Antwan Odom left Sunday's game in the first quarter with an Achilles tendon injury.
Odom struggled through Achilles problems during the preseason and won't return to the game after going down following an Owen Daniels chop block.
