 Sheldon Brown-DB- EaglesNov. 18 - 11:06 am et
Sheldon Brown's hamstring injury will likely sideline him for this week and maybe more, according to Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News.
This is a crushing blow to the Eagles' defense. Without Brown, Ellis Hobbs and Joselio Hanson, the Eagles will likely start career practice squad type Dimitri Patterson opposite Asante Samuel. Patterson will need constant help, limiting DC Sean McDermott's ability to bring his trademark pressure, especially in nickel situations. Upgrade the Bears passing game this week.

Jay Cutler has thrown more red-zone interceptions than any quarterback in the league since Week 13 of 2008.
There is some definite selection bias going on here, but Cutler's eight picks inside the opposing 20-yard line are easily the most over that span. Marc Bulger and Jake Delhomme are tied for second most, and they've only thrown three red-zone INTs apiece. The Bears have also scored in just five of their last 16 trips to the red area -- good for a 31.3% conversion rate.

 Jay Cutler-QB - Bears Nov. 12 - 11:31 pm et

Jay Cutler was picked five times as the Bears fell to the 49ers 10-6 in the season debut of NFL Network's Thursday Night Football.
Cutler finished 29-of-52 for 307 yards and zero scores. While he was able to move the chains through the air, he exhibited unbelievably poor decision-making time after time. As the defense kept the Bears alive, Cutler drove the offense down the field for the potential game-winning score. With eight seconds left, he promptly threw the ball right into the hands of Niners safety Michael Lewis in the end zone. It was a fitting ending for the NFL's leader in interceptions with 17.
 Jay Cutler-QB - Bears Nov. 8 - 4:41 pm et

Jay Cutler completed 29-of-47 passes for 369 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
Even when the game was close, the Bears employed a pass-heavy attack. They called 11 passes on their first 13 plays and were very successful. But Cutler's real numbers came during garbage time against a weak secondary, so let's not go overboard. He's on pace for 28 touchdowns, 22 interceptions and 4,092 yards heading into Thursday's game against the 49ers.

Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner said he will scale back the playbook.
The Bears' offense is struggling badly despite the 30 points the team put up against the Browns Sunday. Jay Cutler has six interceptions vs. three touchdowns in his last three games and the offensive line has to take a lot of the blame. Cutler does have a good matchup against the Cardinals secondary this week.

Jay Cutler was swallowing blood from after taking a hit on the chin from Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley in the second quarter Sunday.
Cutler didn't stop swallowing blood until the fourth quarter. He took four sacks and was hit seven times, a bad sign for the Bears considering how poor the Browns' defense is. The Bears' offensive line needs to get their act together heading into next week's game against the Cardinals.
