Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron attributes Joe Flacco's late-season struggles to a litany of significant injuries.
"If you actually saw those injuries and saw the amount of rehab and everything it took for him to get ready to play on Sunday, people would be amazed at his performance," Cameron said. Despite the injury-induced slump, Flacco's played even better in his second year than he did in an impressive rookie season. He posted a 95+ passer rating in 9-of-16 games this season while dramatically increasing his yards and TD totals.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh finally acknowledged that Joe Flacco was playing through a painful hip and quad injury during the playoffs.
"I think Joe showed some real toughness throughout the last five or six weeks playing through that," said Harbaugh. The head coach had played down the injury entering the Ravens' playoff matchups against the Pats and Colts, but it was clear that the injury affected Flacco's performance. He's yet to miss a game in two seasons.

Joe Flacco completed 20-of-35 passes for 189 yards and two interceptions against the Colts in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
Flacco was better than last week, but not by much. He appeared to be limited by the hip injury, and he struggled whenever the Colts cut off safety blanket Ray Rice. Flacco played like a stud franchise QB early in the season, only to fight through an injury-induced funk down the stretch. He's in dire need of a weapons upgrade at receiver this offseason.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Joe Flacco had three inches of swelling in his right leg last week, leading some Ravens to believe he would have to sit out against the Pats.
After suffering a hip injury at Oakland in Week 17, Flacco had to stand during the entire flight back to Baltimore because he was in so much pain. Per Schefter, Flacco is "definitely improved" for Saturday night's matchup in Indy, but he's still nowhere close to 100 percent. If Flacco has to throw 25+ times to keep up with Peyton Manning, the Ravens are in serious trouble.

Joe Flacco insists his hip/quad injury is no longer an issue anymore.
"I feel great this week," Flacco said. "I'm moving around really good. There's nothing really to it." That's quite a turnaround for Flacco after being noticeably hobbled against the Pats and "stiff and gimpy" in Tuesday's practice. We're still expecting the Ravens to lean on Ray Rice and Willis McGahee against the Colts.

Joe Flacco is not on the Ravens' injury report for the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
Flacco looked "stiff and gimpy" during practice Tuesday, but was a full participant Wednesday. While the Ravens insist their QB is healthy enough to perform as normal, they will maintain a run-heavy approach at Indianapolis.
