Elijah Dukes will "definitely" enter spring training as the Nationals' starting right fielder, according to manager Jim Riggleman.
"Physically, he's feeling very well," Riggleman said. "That's big. He's a big strong guy, and we need to put him out there everyday." Dukes hit only .250/.337/.393 over 416 at-bats in 2009, but had a 127 OPS+ in 334 plate appearances the year before and has a reservoir of untapped potential. He could be a 2010 fantasy sleeper.

Elijah Dukes hit a grand slam and drove in a career-high five runs while Josh Willingham slugged a pair of homers and drove in six as the Nationals crushed the Cubs on Tuesday night.
The Nationals defeated the Cubs 15-6 in their highest scoring game of the season. Duke's grand slam came off of Aaron Heilman, who inherited baserunners from starter Carlos Zambrano. Willingham hit a solo home run off Zambrano, but later added a three-run shot off Tom Gorzelanny in the eighth.
