Gordon Beckham and Paul Konerko hit back-to-back homers off Joe Nathan in the ninth to help the White Sox beat the Twins 4-2 on Wednesday.
Beckham and Konerko delivered consecutive solo shots with two outs in the ninth to tie it. Alexei Ramirez later delivered a go-ahead single and Bobby Jenks held the lead in the ninth, allowing the White Sox to avoid a sweep in Minnesota. Konerko is up to 24 homers and 77 RBI. He still has a realistic shot at what would be his sixth 30-homer season.

Paul Konerko and Alex Rios are out of the lineup against Orioles Saturday's lineup against the Orioles.
Konerko is hitting just .197 with two homers and four RBI this month, so he could a breather. Mark Kotsay will fill in at first base with Scott Podsednik patrolling center field.

Konkerko snapped an 0-for-23 hitless streak with a single in the bottom of the first inning. He later added his 22nd home run -- a solo shot -- in the losing effort.

Konerko is pretty quietly on 30-homer, 100-RBI pace, but since he's slow and the guys behind him haven't done much, he's scored just 44 runs so far this season. The three guys behind him tonight combined to go 0-for-11 with a walk.

Knoerko's three-run blast in the third proved to be the game's defining hit. He's now hitting .302 with 18 jacks and 64 RBI, and has bounced back nicely from a down year in '08.

Paul Konerko connected for a career-high three home runs and seven RBI in a win over the Indians on Tuesday night.
Konerko's sixth-inning grand slam gave the White Sox a 5-3 lead. He became the 12th player in White Sox history to hit three home runs in a game. The last to do it was Jose Valentin in 2003.
