Nate McLouth went 4-for-5 with an RBI as the Braves defeated the Cardinals 9-2 on Sunday.
All four hits were singles for McLouth, who also scored once in the contest. McLouth hasn't been much of an asset since the end of May, but he is batting .412 with three homers in nine games this month. The hamstring injury that sidelined him in late August and early September no longer seems like much of an issue.

Nate McLouth hit a solo home run in his return to the lineup on Friday night against the Reds.
He didn't start, but entered the game when Yunel Escobar left due to injury. McLouth had been sidelined since August 17 due to a strained left hamstring.

Yunel Escobar left Friday's game in the bottom of the fourth inning after being struck in the back of the head while running to first base.
Bobby Cox was also tossed, as the umpires ruled batter interference on the play. Escobar mustered a walk earlier in the game. He's likely just shaking the cobwebs off and should play tomorrow. Omar Infante moved from center to short, with Nate McLouth entering the game in center.

Braves activated OF Nate McLouth from the 15-day disabled list.
Bobby Cox still hasn't penciled McLouth into tonight's starting lineup, though. McLouth had been nursing a strained hamstring and was handled with kid gloves by the Braves throughout his rehab, so don't expect him to get regular playing time from the get-go. Regardless, his return will be welcomed by the Braves, who are tied with the Marlins for third in the NL Wild Card race. Chances are Matt Diaz will see less playing time down the road.

Nate McLouth (hamstring) is scheduled to begin a minor league rehab assignment Thursday with Single-A Rome.
McLouth will take batting practice, shag fly balls and "run to tolerance" on Wednesday before heading out. If there aren't any setbacks, he has a chance to return to action for Friday night's game against the Reds.

Nate McLouth had an MRI on his hamstring Monday that showed no significant or structural damage.
McLouth suffered a minor strain in his hamstring while playing in a rehab game Saturday. Team doctors will monitor him over the next few days and try to make a decision by mid-week on whether he can resume activities.
