Tyrus Thomas returned from his one-game suspension on Tuesday, scoring nine points and grabbing seven rebounds in 28 minutes off the bench.
Tyrus added one steal and one block in a performance that is indicative of his season thus far -- decent, but not great. Hopefully the Bulls are showcasing him in anticipation of a trade to a team that will give him more minutes.

Coach Vinny Del Negro said that Tyrus Thomas will be his first big man off the bench on Tuesday.
This is pretty surprising after Thomas, frustrated with playing time, was suspended one game for berating Del Negro. Thomas said he didn't have any regrets about the incident and Del Negro says they have a clean slate. We suspect the Bulls are showcasing Thomas for a trade as they give him his 20-25 minutes tonight.

Tyrus Thomas was suspended for a verbal tirade on coach Vinny Del Negro, according to beat writer K.C. Johnson.
Thomas had played 16 minutes or fewer in three straight games and apparently let Del Negro he was none to pleased about it. Thomas returned to practice on Monday and is expected to play tonight but we aren't expecting a ton of minutes. Thomas is averaging 2.0 steals and 2.7 blocks per 36 minutes, which gives you an idea of what he could do if he ever lands a starting role somewhere. We're expecting a trade shortly.

Bulls' beat writer John Jackson believes that "Whether he's dealt before the Feb. 18 trade deadline or let go this summer when he becomes a restricted free agent, [Tyrus] Thomas' days with the Bulls are numbered."
Thomas was recently suspended one game for cursing out coach Vinny Del Negro, who had benched him for a series of awful plays. He has tons of potential but it sounds like he'll be in the doghouse as long as he remains in Chicago.

Tyrus Thomas, who was suspended for one game for conduct detrimental to the team, is expected to return to action on Tuesday.
"We need to get Tyrus back in practice Monday and ready for our game Tuesday," coach Vinny Del Negro said. Thomas wasn't getting many minutes before his latest setback, and should probably be on fantasy benches until after the All-Star break.

Taj Gibson posted mediocre numbers with Tyrus Thomas (suspension) out, finishing with eight points on 3-of-7 shooting with seven rebounds, two blocks, a steal, and an assist in 24 minutes of run.
He has been far from reliable in fantasy leagues, despite getting enough playing time to have the opportunity to do some damage. It may be tempting to pick him up with Joakim Noah (foot) out and Thomas fighting with Vinny, but there are no indications that Gibson will figure things out.
