 Kobe Bryant-G- LakersFeb. 9 - 4:58 pm et
Kobe Bryant (ankle) remains a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
The Lakers would prefer that Kobe rests tomorrow and sits out the All-Star game, but we'll see what Kobe has to say about that. If he thinks he can be effective, he'll play. We should have a better idea of what Kobe will do after Wednesday's shootaround.

 Shannon Brown-G/F - Lakers Feb. 9 - 1:30 am et

Shannon Brown started in place of Kobe Bryant (ankle) on Monday, scoring eight points in nearly 37 minutes.
Brown shot 3-of-13 from the field but played some feisty defense and should get similar playing time if Kobe sits again on Wednesday. He added one rebound, three assists, one block and zero turnovers.

Shannon Brown scored 19 points off the bench on Saturday, hitting 8-of-15 shots from the field (including a three) with three rebounds and one assist in 37 minutes.
Brown won't be this productive once Kobe Bryant (ankle) returns, but he continues to make a case for more playing time with efforts like these. If he's going to be useful in fantasy leagues, it's going to be because Phil Jackson realizes that Derek Fisher is a liability, and decides to go with Brown instead.

Lakers reserve Sasha Vujacic has seen his role in the rotation replaced by Shannon Brown this season.
Vujacic hasn't been a fantasy option all season and is barely clearing any minutes in the rotation. Meanwhile, Brown has made a name for himself in Phil Jackson's eyes. Neither are really worth considering in most fantasy formats, though I suppose a case can be made for Brown in extremely deep leagues.

 Jordan Farmar-G - Lakers Jan. 24 - 8:49 pm et

Jordan Farmar came up with 17 points off the bench against the Raptors on Sunday, hitting 7-of-11 shots from the field (3-of-4 from downtown) to go with four rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 21 minutes.
Farmar got hot in this one, but there's no telling if he'll be able to do it again in his next game. As far as who will eventually take over Derek Fisher's minutes over time, the best bet is probably still Shannon Brown (17 minutes, two points), but there is no clear cut winner at this point.
 Shannon Brown-G/F - Lakers Jan. 19 - 1:18 am et

Lakers reserve Shannon Brown scored a season-high 22 points on MLK day, making 8-of-12 field goals (one 3-pointer) in 22 efficient minutes.
Brown chipped in two steals but had zero rebounds or assists. He's a quality role player, averaging 18 minutes on the season, but only has fantasy relevance in very deep leagues.
