Lakers coach Phil Jackson hopes to limit veteran PG Derek Fisher to under 25 minutes per game, in an effort to keep him fresh for playoffs.
Fisher has averaged over 32 minutes so far this season, which means Jordan Farmar and Shannon Brown could get some extra burn in the near future -- just not enough to significantly improve their fantasy stock.

Shannon Brown got 28 minutes of run off the bench on his way to 20 points, four assists, one steal, and two blocks on Sunday.
Most of the Lakers starters either didn't play, or gave way to the second unit quickly, and Brown was there to take advantage. It's possible that he passes Jordan Farmar on his way to fantasy relevance, but even in a best-case scenario it seems unlikely he can help your team, unless you play in a 30-team league.

With Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol out on Saturday, guard Shannon Brown got a rare start for the Lakers.
He was 0-for-6 and finished with just three points, and while he's an exciting role player for the Lakers, he won't be worth owning this year.

According to Shannon Brown's agent the paperwork concerning a pending civil suit has not been filed as of yet.
This suit stems back to an incident with an unidentified Denver woman. Regardless, this will likely have no bearing on Brown's performance.

The Lakers have re-signed guard Shannon Brown for two years and $4.2 million.
Brown shouldn't have much fantasy value, but played well late in the season and in the playoffs when the Lakers needed his help.

 Jordan Farmar-G - Lakers Jun. 25 - 12:14 pm et

Two NBA sources say the Lakers offered to trade Jordan Farmar or sell their first-round pick to the Rockets, but their offer was turned down.
The Lakers obviously don't view Farmar as their PG of the future, a pressing concern since Derek Fisher turns 35 years old in August. They seem intent on re-signing Shannon Brown this offseason, offering at least a short-term solution at backup PG.
